“La Histeria Argentina”, Científicos del Palo fourth studio album, is a conceptual album about Argentine history. Each song recount a historical period in chronological order from 1810 to 2013.
The events are told from a revisionist perspective, away from the “official” story told by Bartolomé Mitre to approach the history observed from the perspective of José María Rosa, Norberto Galasso, Raúl Scalabrini Ortiz, Felipe Pigna and Arturo Jauretche , among others.
The album pack is a printed book with a foreword by Felipe Pigna and Hernán Brienza, two argentinean historians.
In the book the lyrics of the songs are complemented with footnotes, timelines, biographies and illustrations with the most relevant characters, that expand the historical events, evoking old school manuals; making “official” an unofficial story.
